From Gering NE.
Gering Public Schools have enjoyed “The Kids on the Block” several times. The puppets and their messages, along with the discussions the puppeteers provide are fun ways to discuss difficult topics such as bullying, students with handicaps, being different, etc. I would recommend them for all elementary students across our state!.

What a fantastic way for students to learn about differences in their community! Kids on the Block actively helps children understand that we are all different and that is what makes the world unique. Students are shown how we can respect one another and how accepting others who are not like them can make us grow as individuals. Topics such as physical and learning disabilities, Down's Syndrome, and hearing impairment are just a few of the topics offered. Students become so engaged in the puppets that they learn AND ask questions. There are so many, many things we can all learn from Kids on the Block, you are going to want them back at your school year after year!

On behalf of the students and faculty of St. Robert Bellarmine School, I would like to express our appreciation and gratitude for your sponsorship of the “Kids on the Block” educational puppet presentation. At St. Robert’s
School, we are always looking for innovative ways to help our students increase their acceptance of others’differences, in general, and for ways to deepen their empathy, specifically toward those who have disabilities.
Brenda and Charlotte do an excellent job helping our students understand more about what life is like for individuals with physical, visual, hearing, learning, and behavioral disabilities. As I have visited classrooms and done follow-up activities, I have received much positive feedback from both the students and the faculty. I have noted that our students seem to have a stronger interest level in the subject of disabilities, and a greater sense of compassion and acceptance. We will most certainly invite “The Kids” to visit us again next year!
